BD Insyte™ IV cannula needles are radiopaque intravascular catheters with a Luer-Lock cone. Designed to be inserted into the patient's peripheral vascular system for a short time, to take blood samples, monitor blood pressure or administer fluids. The needle is lubricated internally and externally with triple sharpening (bevel with back cut). BD Vialon™ biomaterial softens up to 70% in the vein, allowing for longer in-vein dwell times and reducing the risk of mechanical phlebitis and infiltration.
